Science 8-3 Began Chapter 2

  • - 5 major oceans
    - 4 factors which formed oceans
  • - began discussing in detail tectonic plates, volcanic action erosion and glaciation
  • - origins of Ocean water
  • - 5 components of ocean floor: 1. Mid-atlantic ridge

    • next day begin discussing 2. trenches, 3. abyssal plains 4. Continental margins and 5. continental slopes and shelf

    Students are asked to read page 38, 40, 41, 42, and 43 for homework  ;-)

    Bring bookbag with:
    warm clothing  ...mitts, hat
    Waterproof jacket
    NO sandels nor flip flops...must wear sneakers or rubber boots
    LUNCH...include food and DRINKS

    water is a great drink as is fruit drinks

    NOTE:     No garbage is left on boat. Place it in garbage cans or bring back home.
